CHAPTER VII

Items received too late to be included elsewhere or just didn't seem to fit in elsewhere or were somewhat of a duplication and are here in no particular order.

Right: The Jacobson brothers, Bill `59 and Bob `57, Norman Honderd `57, and David Bhend `59 formed this Milford group. They all look pretty sharp, and Norman Honderd looks as though he just returned from the "Lawrence Welk" tryouts with his white shoes and spiffy sports coat and then the big professional "chin down a little, head turned a little, look at the camera and smile pleasantly" pose. He could have been on the show on his appearance alone.

Classroll Membership Decline

Given as an example; when the class of 1955 started School in the fall of 1942, there were seventeen students and at graduation there were 7. Because of mechanization, families were becoming fewer. Mary Boten, Lloyd Cooling, Janet Day, Wilbert Hadley, Beverly Jacobson, Joan Latham, Marilyn Ringgenberg, Jimmy Rorabaugh, Everett Thrasher and Gary Tjelmeland were starters and they finished with other classes. See pg 276-279

Juvenile Delinquents

According to the records found, there seems to be very few, almost to the point of none, juvenile delinquents in Milford Twp; but this photo, in the annual of 1955 says otherwise--an entire class, the class of 1955 when they were in fourth grade. This group of youngsters all started the first grade and all completed their twelve year education together. It is reported that this was the first class for every member to go to college.
