Clippers Reach District Final: This year's Clippers, one of the finest teams in Collins' history, came close to advancing to the State Tournament before ending the season with a record of 20 wins and 2 losses. They breezed through the sectionals with a 51-22 route of Maxwell, a 71-58 win over Mingo, and bombed Baxter in the finals 76-53. In the first round of District, held in the roundhouse at Marshalltown, Collins defeated Gladbrook 64-61 before losing to a tough Aplington team 58-38 in the finals. Congratulations to the Clippers for a magnificent season!
