April 15, 1926 First Ball Game of Season – The first base ball game of the season of 1926 was played on the high school grounds last Friday afternoon between the Independent ball team and the high school team and was a very close game, the score being 4 to 2 in favor of the Independents. This was a practice game and goes to show that when the season opens both teams will be in the best of condition to play any other like aggregation and will be able to give a good account of themselves. Let’s give all the teams of Collins our best support this year. (No box score found)
