December 3, 1975. New Providence pulled away in the 4th quarter for an 80-69 win over the Collins Girls in the opening season game. The Collins girls were celebrating Coach Bill Brooks' birthday, but it was a disappointing occasion. Chris Dunshee and Karen Ball both fouled out. Coach Brooks said, "We were too aggressive -- we had too many fouls." Scoring: Chris Dunshee 38, Julie Lehman 20, Tracy Thornton 3. New Providence made 24 of 30 free throws. Collins scored 11 of 20.

The Clippers avenged the girls' loss with a 79-65 victory. The boys repeatedly broke New Providence's press in the 2nd half as they increased their 38-32 halftime margin. Scoring: Oglesby 33, Matt Carver 12, Doug Klemme 13, Steve Lillard 10, Huntrods 8, Anderson 8, Wright 4, and Klemme 4. Matt Carver had 17 rebounds.

December 8-12 Hot Lunch Menu: Mon. Macaroni and cheese, ham salad sandwich, cookie, apple sauce, milk. Tues. Chicken Delish, Lettuce salad, hot rolls, fruit, milk. Wed. Chili soup, brown bread, cake, Jello, milk. Thurs. Beef and vegetable stew, hot rolls, fruit, cookie, milk. Fri. Maidrite, buttered corn, cookie, milk.

December 13, 1975. Maxwell girls took an opening 18-4 lead and continued a strong game for 82-43 victory over the Collins girls. The two teams were nearly equal in shooting percentage. However, Maxwell took near double the number of shots (72-36). Scoring: Chris Dunshee 22, Julie Lehman 11, Tracy Thornton 8, Sheila Heidemann 2.

Collins boys ran into another buzz saw in Maxwell boys, 84-43. Maxwell won the battle of the boards (42-29) and Collins had 32 turnovers. Scoring: Bob Huntrods 14, Doug Klemme 8, Steve Lillard, Jim Wright, and Steve Oglesby each had 4; Jim Anderson, Jeff Titus, and Ed Hamilton each had 2. Conference record: Maxwell 2-1, Collins 0-3.

December 18, 1975. Garwin's 29-point 2nd quarter and 41-26 halftime lead was beyond Collins' girls comeback difference. Final Score: Garwin 75, Collins 51. The game was physical with a total of 59 fouls called and 85 free throws being shot. Scoring: Chris Dunshee 17, Tracy Thornton 15, Julie Lehman 12, Terry Hugen 4, Jolene Brafford 2, Jody Anderson 1.

Collins Boys controlled the style of play through most of the game before falling 72-55. Collins' shooting was 35%, with Garwin out rebounding 52-26. Scoring: Bob Huntrods 14, Steve Oglesby 8, Steve Lillard and Doug Klemme 7 each, Matt Carver and Jim Wright 6 each, Jim Anderson 5, Ed Hamilton 2.
