December 9, 1974. Colo-Collins schools mull cooperative classes. Jim Poole, Colo high school principal, reported on a program designed to set up class offerings for both Collins and Colo use, such as a foreign language.

The proposal, according to Superintendent Keith Tadlock, Colo, is just in the planning stages, but at Monday night's meeting the Board set a date for this Wednesday, December 11, to meet with the Collins School board to discuss the program. That meeting will be held in Collins, beginning at 7:00 p.m.

December 11, 1974. Collins Girls whipped Garwin 68-54 in Ta-Ma-Ja Conference. Cindy Dunshee hit mostly outside shots, scoring 42 points. Chris Dunshee 12, Mary Beth Kingman 10, Julie Lehman 4. Shooting percentage: 51%. Guard Rebounding: Becky Oswalt 10, Cindy Tiffany 8, Cathy Schmitt 4. Coach Bill Brooks said, "I was pleased with our overall play of the team. We cut down on turnovers."

Collins Boys dropped a 73-33 decision to powerful Garwin in Ta-Ma-Ja Conference. Collins shot 38% and had only 10 free throws, making 5. Thirty-five turnovers in the game is difficult to resolve. Scoring: Denny Long 9, Matt Carver 8, Mike Fertig 4, Steve Lillard 4.

December 14, 1974. Maxwell defeated Collins in both Girls (75-53) and Boys (83-51) in basketBall contests. Maxwell had decisive leads throughout both games. Girls scoring: Cindy Dunshee 32, Chris Dunshee 16, Julie Lehman 3, Mary Beth Kingman 2. Coach Bill Brooks said, "The guard court, Cathy Schmitt, Becky Oswalt, Cindy Tiffany did a good job against the slick-good shooting Maxwell front court.

December 18, 1974. The Clipperettes suffered one of those exasperating nights when seemingly few shots at the basket went in, connecting only on 10 of 47 from the field. Consequently, they lost 40-29 to SEMCO in the Ta-Ma-Ja Conference play. Pacing the scoring was Cindy Dunshee 16, Julie Lehman 8, Chris Dunshee 4, Mary Beth Kingman 1. Guard Rebounding: Cindy Tiffany 10, Becky Oswalt 7, Cathy Schmitt 7.
