The class of 1921 was the honored 50-year class. There were 10 graduates and four were in attendance. Other honored guests were the 40-year class with eight of the 19 graduates attending. The 25-year class of 1946 had 14 of the 15 graduates attending. The 20-year and 10-year classes were also recognized. A carnation was presented to Roscoe Pritchard of Nevada, class of 1899, the eldest alumni attending. The Kloppenborg family had the most alumni attending, eight children who are all Collins alumni. The seniors were introduced by Supt. Mr. Dexter and each senior introduced their parents and told of their future plans. Several songs were sung by a quintette consisting of Lola Dodd, Norma Tjelmeland, Earl Evans, John Patterson, and Myrna Schmitt. Several short skits from the TV "Laugh-in" show were put on by members of the 1945 class. Benediction was given by Rev. Grant of Collins Methodist Church. A dance was held in the gym with music by the Middlemen of Des Moines.

July 6, 1971. Baseball Colo overwhelmed Collins 12-1 in 5-inning baseball game on the Collins diamond.Collins had 3 hits and 5 fielding errors. Bill Crabb and Ken Caulkins divided the pitching for Collins, giving up 11 hits and walking 5 with 3 strikeouts. (Lineup not found.)

July 13, 1971. Sectional Tournament Baseball at Ames: 1st round Mingo rallied with 4 runs in the 7th inning to overcome Collins 8 to 5. This was a wild game as the teams combined for 13 hits, 13 errors, 7 wild pitches and 3 balks. Collins pitchers were Bill Crabb and Ken Caulkins. Innings - 7; hits - 8; runs - 8; strikeouts - 5; walks - 4. (Lineup not found.)

We, the Senior Class of 1971, wish to dedicate this annual to whomever or whatever made us what we are today; to the persons who gave us originality; to the school which educated us; to our friends, for being patient with us; to the parents who loved and guided us; to the churches for spiritual guidance; and to all those whom we have forgotten but who have contributed to our lives. In sincere appreciation and gratitude we wish to express our thanks to dedicating this, our annual of 1971.
