November 17, 1969 The First Annual Ta Ma Ja Conference Girls Basketball Jamboree was termed a success by both coaches and fans. The games were exciting and all teams had a chance to play some basketball (two quarters). November 26, 1969 Basketball Collins girls trailed Baxter 32-18 at halftime. Baxter held off Collins comeback efforts in the last half although Collins outscored Baxter 36-29. December 10, 1969 The second of four School Information-Trading Sessions with neighboring school districts with the Nevada School Board host at a dinner meeting to members of the Collins School Board. Present from Collins were Board President James Wright; members - Gene Atwood, Chester Lilliard, Howard Hofer, Roger Huntrods, and acting Supt Richard Dexter. The discussion following slide and data presentation by Nevada Supt. Leonard Gustafson dealt with general aspects of a merger in East Story County. Nevada board president told their Collins counterparts that the sessions were just for the purpose of information and to discuss mutual problems. Collins Supt. Dexter said he felt the Collins board appreciated the meeting and will keep the lines of communication open. The present plans, as mentioned at the meeting with Colo last week, are to meet with the two remaining boards - Maxwell (Thursday), and NESCO (next Tuesday) and then see if all concerned are interested enough to meet en masse to discuss seriously an East Story County district.
