February 10, 1967 Collins girls closed out their regular season with a 7-game winning streak - 66-61 overtime victory over Bondurant on Collins floor. The Clipperettes have a 16-3 season record. Bondurant led 13-12 after the 1st quarter. It was a close game throughout with Vicki Mullihan's jump shot with 5 seconds remaining to tie the score and send the game into overtime. Collins scored early and then hit free throws to protect their lead for the 66-61 victory. Scoring: Vicki Mullihan - 47; Pam Snyder - 6; other scoring unknown - 13.

Collins boys trailed 25-8 after one quarter and were unable to close the gap, Collins losing to Bondurant 82-51. Collins' season record is 9-8. Collins scoring leaders: Roger Holland - 22; Kevan Stratton - 9; Tom Morrison - 7.

February 23, 1967 Senior and Junior High Band will present a Winter Band Concert in the gym Sunday afternoon, Feb. 26. Paul S. Kuhs, Director. Public is invited. No admission charge.

March 2, 1967 Girls Basketball Sectional Tournament - The Collins Clipperettes had an impressive 16-4 record this year. The season had a sudden ending, losing to Nevada 67-54 in the first round of the Sectional tournament. (No further information found)

Vicki Mullihan completed four-year varsity basketball career, establishing a new Collins school scoring record of 2,437 points in her four-year varsity playing career - (Freshman - 466; Sophomore 595; Junior 734; Senior 642 = 2,437 points.) This surpassed prior Collins girls' scoring records: Georgiann (Briles) Koeder 1954-58 scoring 1,969 points and Barbara (Kimberley) Carroll 1947-51 scoring 1,462 points.

Both Ta Ma Ja Conference and Story County basketball selected Vicki M. on their first teams; She also received honorable mention on the Iowa All-State team.
