Student Counsel The student Council met Tuesday morning to form a Constitution where the entire student body may be rightfully represented. It has previously been decided that the executive members of each class compose the council. The powers of this body will range from discipline to determination of grades necessary for all active participants in athletics. Any provision made by this body may be vetoed by the Superintendent but the provision may be carried to the Board of Education, whose decision is final. This arrangement will place the government of the school on the students and thus prepare them for future work of the kind.

Halloween Party A Halloween Party was held in the High School Wednesday, October 31st. In planning the party, it was decided that it would be very fitting and proper to make this a masquerade party and initiate the "Freshies."

Music Miss Hinder has a very unique method of teaching music to the grades. She first takes up the life of the composer. When the children have learned the life of a composer, some of his works are played on the phonograph. In this way the children learn to associate the name of the composer with the selection whenever it is heard. Some of the records used in this instruction are: Symphony in B Minor - Schubert; Messiash - Handel; Moonlight Sonata - Beethoven; The Swan - Rubenstein; Melody in F - Rubenstein; Baracarolle, Waltz - (From the Tales of Hoffman).
