Grant for Math Study - Gary Pointer has been accepted in the cooperative college school mathematics program held on campus of N.E. Missouri State Teachers College at Kirksville, June 13 through August 7. Pointer will be taking courses in algebra, intermediate mathematics, and geometry. This program for 25 high-quality high school sophomores and juniors is being sponsored by the National Science Foundation and Missouri State Teachers College.
Grant for Science Study - Bonnie Downing has been accepted as participant in the summer science training program in chemistry at Hiram College, Hiram, Ohio. Program is June 21 to July 31. Forty high ability high school students who will be juniors and seniors were selected for this program that is sponsored by the National Science Foundation.

May 23, 1964 Grade Pupils' Visit to Ledges Park - The second and fourth grade pupils had a bus ride to the Ledges State Park near Boone, Iowa with their teachers Mrs. Miller (second) and Mrs. Haas (fourth). May 25, 1964 The Collins 1914 grads are the honored class at the Annual Alumni Banquet held in the school lunchroom at the Collins High School.
