February 28, 1962 Boys Sectional Basketball Tournament at Baxter: First round - Collins boys battled down to the wire with Mingo in an overtime game with 50-48 loss to Baxter. Collins had a 28-22 1st half lead. Mingo quickly closed the gap for a 3rd quarter 35-35 and 4th quarter 46-46 as Clyde Dalby scored a field goal and free throw in the closing seconds. In overtime Mingo scored 4 quick points and Dalby scored a lay-up for Collins' only 2 points for the 50-48. Coach Cory said missed free throws caused the loss and the Clippers made 6 of 13 and many of the misses were 1 and 1 situations.
