Dr. David Falconer, family sociology instructor and marriage counselor at Iowa State University told the graduates there were four basic rules for a happy life. (1) Keep working at being happy - happiness is not the result of an idle mind, (2) Plan for the future - few good things that happen to a person occur automatically, (3) Work at a faith by which you can live - an inner guidance systems satisfaction with happiness, and (4) Keep looking for the good in other people. The auditorium/gym was crowded with parents and friends for the Commencement. Commencement Program: Processional and Recessional - Linda Atwood; Invocation - Rev. Thomas Woodin; Benediction - Rev.
