November 28, 1957 Music News - This year, as last year, the Music Department had a magazine selling campaign. The proceeds were near $500. The Club intends to buy a baritone horn with the profits. Musical numbers presented during the Junior Class Play were: "Jealousy" by Mary Ann Kearns; "Three for Jack" by Darwin Luing, "Sentimental Journey" by Geogiann Briles, Dorothy Hand, and Verlie Etnier; "Dawn" and "Ivory Tower" by Douglas Gibford.
Grade News: 2nd - We have finished number facts of 7, 8, 9 and are now ready for fact 10. After learning so many things about writing sentences from Language books, we decided to write some of our own, which was fun.

December 5, 1957 School Pep - What happened? What happened to Collins? What is happening to our spectators? What happened to our cheering section? What has happened to that old spunk, fun, etc., that everyone used to have? Both our basketball teams got off to a rather bad start, but did they stop fighting? No. What about our spectators? The team that is being defeated needs to feel that the people are still behind them and will be there yelling again next time.
Music News - A sacred music program by the high school groups will be given at the Methodist church Wednesday. The program includes mixed chorus numbers, a cantata, vocal solo, vocal duet, piano duet, piano and organ duet, and other numbers. Everyone is invited to attend.
