Eighth Grade Graduation: Supt. E. E. Jackson made a short talk and presented their diplomas to them. The program was completed by the audience singing the school song and America, the Beautiful.

Senior Trip: Friday morning at 2:30 a.m. left for the Ozarks. Twelve seniors traveled in three cars driven by Mr. and Mrs. Curtis, Mr. and Mrs. Heintz, and Bob McBride. They arrived at Bagnell Dam near noon on Friday. After lunch we went for a cruise ride on Lake of the Ozarks. Then we had time to look the place over, deciding it was very commercialized and we could go broke pretty quickly. The first night the boys went dancing and the girls hit the sack. After Saturday dinner we made a tour of the Osage Power Plant on Bagnell Dam. Also almost everyone went for a speedboat ride, one or more times. The lake was smooth and those boats could really go. Saturday evening, some attended the Rodeo and others The Ozark Opry. Later in the evening there was a wiener roast on the beach. Sunday morning we started back, taking our time and eating frequently along the way. We were all happy to be back and had an enjoyable trip and more memories of our last high school days.
