Future Farmers of America Initiation - The advisor of the Bondurant F. F. A. chapter and seven boys journeyed to Collins October 16 to help the Collins chapter with initiation. President Bob McBride called the chapter to order; it was moved the chapter dispense with further business and that the meeting be turned over to the Bondurant chapter for the initiation. The candidates were conducted blindfolded into the meeting room where they met with ignorance, indolence, waste, and isolation. As the ceremony progressed, these were replaced by wisdom, labor, thrift and cooperation. The candidates: Darrel Moses, John Carver, John Duesbury, Philip Holland, Reno Milligan, Bob Moses, Virgil Swaim, and Kenneth Carroll received their Chapter Farmer pins.

November 9, 1950 - The Advanced Home Economics class went to Des Moines Monday afternoon to visit O. B. West warehouse. We learned many interesting things such as how they ripen green fruit and vegetables and how they package products. We next visited C. C. Taft's warehouse. Next visit was to Colonial Bread Company for a tour through the bakery. We saw how they mixed the bread, saw it raised, baked and being loaded. Stopping at the Dairy Treat on the way home made the trip complete. We wish to thank our drivers Mrs. Smith, Mrs. Sullivan, Mrs. Long, and Betty Boozell.
