The Juniors and Seniors held their annual prom last Friday night in the high school gym. The setting was "The Stork Club." It was beautifully decorated with red and white crepe paper. The orchestra was the Rhythmairs from Ames that did a grand job furnishing music for our prom. We are glad so many of the alumni attended.

June 1, 1950 Dean McKee, who has been superintendent of the Collins Schools the last two years is leaving the position and moving to Shenandoah, their former home. Excerpt from New Sharon Star paper: Supt. E. E. Jackson, head of our public school, will not return here next year, having resigned to accept the head of the Consolidated School at Collins, Iowa. Mr. and Mrs. Jackson have served this community well in our school. They came to New Sharon in 1936 and since that time the school has grown in student body and many departments have been added. Mrs. Jackson served as English instructor in the New Sharon School.
