May 6, 1948 The Junior-Senior Banquet was at the Commodore Hotel in Des Moines. The Junior-Senior Prom will be May 11 and the alumni are invited. It is semi-formal dress. May 14 the annual potluck dinner will be held in the high school gym with the letter awards to be made after dinner.

Track - Little Cyclone Invitational Meet, Ames, IA: Gene Atwood won the 120-yard high hurdles and the 200-yard low hurdles. Chris Buck placed 3rd in the discus throw. [Insert 2005: This is large sized very competitive track and field meet.]
