May 23, 1946 The school year ended at Collins Friday with a big community picnic. From point of attendance and interest, it was more than a picnic; it was an old fashioned homecoming. The festivities started with grade school exhibits open to the public from 11:00 A.M. through 3:00 P.M. The exhibit consisted of examples of regular schoolwork throughout the school year and displayed so the progress of the pupils could be easily determined.
