Baseball The Collins baseball nine took a defeat from Huxley last Friday at the winners' diamond. The home team started out on high and were 3-0 before Huxley had a score. Collins let Huxley get 3 runs in the 4th and 5th innings. Neale pitched a good game, but he lacked support.

May 5, 1938 Junior-Senior Banquet The Senior class wishes to express their appreciation for the banquet at which they were entertained on Friday evening. The gymnasium was decorated beautifully with the class colors, American beauty red and canary yellow, on the plan of a radio station. Keith Shearer held the position of Master of Ceremonies, with Mr. "H. P." Carver officiating at the news flashes.

Baseball The strong Collins baseball nine beat Huxley on their own diamond April 27, by a score of 4-2. This puts Collins in the final round of the Story county tournament. The Collins team lacked their regular catcher, Keith Shearer. Neale was the winning pitcher, fanning 8 and walking 2.
