March 18, 1937 Collins Students Place in All Divisions (3) of Sub-District Declamatory Meet. Eileen Vasey (37) 1st - dramatic; Juanita Bates (40) 2nd - humorous; Norman Stevens (37) 3rd - oratorical

March 25, 1937 Collins did well in the music contest held at State Center. The sextet, glee club, contralto solo (Juanita Bates), clarinet solo (Norma Stevens) and tuba solo (Ross Tipton) received excellent.

April 8, 1937 The Collins consolidated school will hold a Music Festival Monday evening 4-12 in the high school auditorium. The vocal director is Mrs. Elizabeth Forbes, music supervisor in the schools and band director is J. R. Compton, who for the past three years has taught band and orchestra.

April 22, 1937 Collins H. S. boys loose to Cambridge 12-8

April 28, 1937 Collins H. S. baseball lose to Maxwell 7-6, and to Huxley 6-2

May 6, 1937 Collins lost to Cambridge 6-2 in the second game of the County Tournament.

The Junior-Senior banquet was held Friday evening, April 30, in the high school gymnasium. The ship idea was carried out during the banquet. The gymnasium was decorated with the Senior class colors, blue and gold. The guests were seated at card tables, which formed an anchor. A three-course dinner was served by eight Sophomores. At the close of the dinner, a jonquil was given to each Senior. The toast was given by Harold Huffaker; Response by Norman Stevens; the Embarkation by Eileen Vasey. Music was furnished by Ross Tipton and Mrs. Forbes. A talk on The Voyage was given by Gola Mullihan; The Lookout by Delmar Halterman; Undiscovered Countries by the Junior class mother, Mrs. Pitcher; The Passenger List by Supt. Holmes; Life Savers by Mr. Stewart; The Landing by Claire Fish; a tap dance by Colleen Stratton and Dorothy Neale.
