March 21, 1912 School Board Meeting The new board met Monday night, Dr. Robertson was elected as chairman. He appointed Oscar Anderson and Curt Campbell as finance committee. H. C. Denniston and C. G. Vasey were appointed committee on Grounds and Teachers. Teachers were elected: Superintendent Kirk was re-elected, also Mrs. Clara Shearer - Primary Teacher. Others elected were W. J. Burney - Assistant Principal, Grammar Grades - Miss Clara Signs, Intermediate - Mrs. Rosa Halterman, Grades Three and Four - Miss Julia Anderson.

April 11, 1912 Story County Teachers Association meeting to be held April 13, 1912. County Superintendent Scott.

April 18, 1912 Collins Alumni Association meeting will be held Monday evening at Hall Store to arrange for the annual alumni banquet. Your presence is urgently requested.

April 25, 1912 Alumni Meeting. The Alumni Association of Collins High School met Monday evening to arrange committees and for festivities in connection with for this year’s graduation. The committees are as follows: Finance - Maud Wells, Clara Signs, C. G. Vasey, Erma Anderson; Lunch - Mrs. Harvey Southern, Myrna Fish, Mrs. Leona Boydston, Mrs. G. F. Holland; Invitations - Clara Shearer, Ira Dickinson, Claire Fish, George Lingenfelter.

Planting Trees at School Grounds: The following trees have been planted at the schoolhouse grounds: Two Camperdown Weeping Elms, Six Red Flowering Double Horse Chestnuts, Two Weeping Ash, Twelve Caroline Poplars, 32 Norway Maple, 12 Pyramadalis, also shrubs have been planted.

June 7, 1912 In the June 3 issue of the Nevada Journal we (Collins editor) saw where the Colo High School Baseball team claims the championship of this section of the state, and also claims that they defeated Collins High School at their home grounds Decoration day, by a score of 4 to 3. We feel this is a mistake because our information indicates the game was forfeited to Collins High School by a score of 9 to 0.

June 12, 1912 Seniors Entertained Mrs. O. B. Patterson entertained at dinner Sunday. The folk were among the guests: Miss Blanch Brown, Miss Persis Fertig and, Chas. Hattery. Mr. and Mrs. G. W. Kirk entertained the Seniors and Miss Duwe, Friday evening May 1. An elaborate three course dinner was served, the table was beautifully decorated with cut flow and the class colors, navy blue and gold. The evening was delightfully spent in conversation.

Mrs. H. Patterson entertained the Seniors and the Misses McCrea and Duwe at a six course dinner. Monday, May 16. The decorations were in the class colors, blue and gold. The guests were favored with solo musical selections from the victrola. A very pleasant evening was enjoyed by all present.
