May 12, 1927 Collins Wins East Story County League. The Milford and Collins high school teams met in the most decisive game of the season last Friday on the Collins diamond. The game opened with a lively batting duel accompanied by poor fielding on the part of both teams. After the third inning, however, both teams settled down to real playing with a home run by a Collins player as the only run during this period. With the league championship won invitation to the State tournament is almost assured. (Insert 2003: Believe Collins selected; no article found.) The team appreciates your support and you will more than feel repaid for the time taken by watching a good game of baseball. The schedule for the remainder of the season is: Melbourne here Monday and there Wednesday. Come and Boost!

Besides the members of the Junior and Senior classes and faculty, there were present also the Junior class mother, Mrs. J. R. Witmer; Senior class mother, Mrs. Phil Ozmum; Mr. Ozman, Mr. Witmer, Mr. Gingles, John Hattery, Mrs. Cope and Mrs. Hollingsworth.
