A federal Senate resolution of December 8, 1882, called for the publication of a list of pensioners on the roll as of January 1, 1883. This was published by the Government Printing Office in Washington, D. C. is a series of volumes organized by political units. Story County, Iowa pensioners are found on pages 790–792 of Volume III.
